We provide dentists, physicians and surgeons all aspects of anaesthetic services (from set-ups to sedation to general anaesthesia) in the out of hospital, day of surgery, or office-based environment. This is relevant for services that provide or are considering sedation services (also known as awake sedation/twilight sedation/asleep sedation), general anaesthetic services, sleep dentistry, radiology practices, physicians, and surgeons. We are an Australia wide service.

Please note: we do work with plastic surgeons in hospitals (although our practice does not cover other cosmetic surgeons) and there are limits to what procedures can be undertaken in the day case environment. These restrictions relate to the type of procedure, duration, complexity, as well as time and patient factors.
Considering Anaesthesia in your practice?
We provide the necessary clinician input and knowledge to add anaesthesia into practices throughout Australia. We do this in both existing practices, practice refurbishments (retrofitting), redevelopments, and new (greenfield) developments. We can help coordinate the development of operating theatre spaces to add value, save money, and get the project completed sooner.
There are limits to procedures undertaken in the day case environment. Restrictions relate to the type of procedure, duration, complexity, and the type of patients appropriate for these settings.
Fit-Out Stage
Already planning anaesthesia or sedation at your practice?
Our team can consult directly with the planning (architect/draftsperson) and building teams. We are familiar with the current healthcare sector requirements such as Australian Standards, Commonwealth legislation, each State Health bureaucracy, Professional Standards, Ambulance and evacuation needs. We can also help builders ensure local building codes are met. We make sure the plans meet all the key requirements as well as your needs. We identify cost savings and value propositions in the elements of the build that are most expensive to save money on the overall budget.
No cost to the practice for anaesthesia set-ups
We can set-up and provide all your current and future anaesthetic needs. We can pay for all the anaesthetic equipment, anaesthetic consumables, and anaesthetic related drugs. We can supply and pay for anaesthetic staffing, anaesthetics and recovery nurses as well as specialist anaesthetists. In addition to anaesthetic equipment provision, we can assist you with procurement of other capital expenditure equipment.

No cost to the practice for anaesthesia services
Our service can provide by agreement all the anaesthetic related equipment and staff on an ongoing basis. This can be entirely done through the anaesthetic service. This saves time and money.
Issues Eliminated
We are aware of some of the issues that have existed in the healthcare sector as well as the out of hospital area. From the outset we have avoided these, addressed previous problems with other service providers, and created a process based model to act on external identified issues. Our service did not commence despite years of relevant experience and knowledge in the out of hospital sector until any issue was identified and dealt with by way of a safe and robust process. We took guidance from industry leaders and groups, both within Australia and abroad.

When problems have arisen in healthcare and the out of hospital sector, we have addressed them prospectively. These have included serious patient safety concerns, conduct concerns, by example, that relate to both individuals and entities. In particular, when industry bodies such as state health bureaucracies, Commonwealth formal and informal findings, risk management reports or Coronial Inquest findings are noted, we have considered these in our services.
Already Set Up?
Our services successfully integrate synergistically with existing operational theatre environments. We can provide Anaesthetists and Anaesthetic services with perioperative support, IFC and a billing service. Our patient screening service can optimise patients before procedures, rule out patients not appropriate for the environment and provide follow-up for patients. We can offer any portion of our services to assist and add to your services. This can lead to improved patient satisfaction, better outcomes, and more returns for your practitioners. We can liaise and operate together with any other service. Alternatively, we can supply any and all portions of anaesthetic set-ups (consumables, drugs and equipment).
Anaesthetic and Recovery Staffing
Our service provides experienced and quality registered anaesthetic nurses, recovery nurses, and specialist anaesthetists. This leads to good outcomes through continuity of care and quality staff who work well together as a team. We can incorporate any previous or existing staff at sites into our practice as well. Our friendly staff will have the appropriate skill sets in their individual clinical practice.
Inventory Management & Biomedical Services
Anaesthesia equipment and storage can be complex, costly and time consuming. We can monitor stock levels, fit the storage to the capacity of the site, create an anaesthetic inventory and perform regular stocktakes. We access multiple suppliers, use affiliated industry contacts, and combine sites for purchasing power and bulk purchase pricing where possible. We can source capital expenditure items (capex) as well as monitor maintenance and Biomedical checks of our equipment and your equipment as well. We can tailor the equipment supplied to meet individual needs for procedures or additional patient groups such as the addition of paediatric patients to your practice.
